I would never dream of using another car rental agency. They're service-oriented. They also are willing to work with Travelers as far as price and and vehicle selection. Recently I rented a car. The customer service is great when I picked up the car at the airport. However when I got home after returning the car I had an issue with the price I was charged for fuel refilling. The next day I received an email customer satisfaction survey. I left a comment about the amount of money I felt I should have been charged for gasoline. To my astonishment they answered me that day and refunded me a large amount of money covering all of the fuel cost for that car with a sincere apology. Thinking about how a major company the size of Enterprise would go out of their way to appease a customer makes them an extraordinary company with which to do business. I have been in Enterprise customer for nearly 20 years and I would not consider switching to any other company.
I am either picking up or dropping off a car here almost every week for work. The staff are friendly and efficient. The cars are well maintained, and I often have a vehicle with under 10,000 miles on the odometer. The rates here are the best, at least when using Concur. It does require a short shuttle ride to or from the airport but I have never had a long wait.
Overall price and service are very good. Would have ranked 5 stars except that the last two times I rented in Chicago there were no toll devices in the car. First time I was told to pay tolls in cash lane which I did. Second time, I mentioned there wasn't a toll device in the car the Enterprise CS agent said the toll folks use the license plates now so no problem, just drive thru.. So I did and about a week later my credit card was charged for the tolls which was fine, it was the handling fee that kinda put me off..
People were nice enough. Not the best customer service but not the worst. It was also pretty warm inside. This was during the warmer part of the year so I'd expect the AC to be going
Hoping this improves quickly as I am going on almost a weekly basis. Nice staff, always asking if I am pleased with the customer service. Enough of asking if the service was great; please just give get rid of poor cars with issues, tell EVERY customer that the location is not at the airport as you will lose valuable time following the rental car return signs to the airport only to discover that Enterprise is not there. Every car should work normally; no huge expectations. This is not attached to the airport so in the rain, they do their best but you will get soaked. A few more weeks to try and if the pattern continues, I am out and moving to another company.
